Hi! I’m Patricia. I am an ESL teacher with more than 3 years of experience. I was a college teacher and handled classes for English, Media Writing and Radio/TV Broadcasting subjects. I also love photography and handle photoshoots / video coverage for prenuptials and weddings.
I have a wide range of experience in teaching students whose English is not their native language. I teach variety of topics in English language but I focus more on the needs of the students –improving on grammar structure; sentence and paragraph composition; pronunciation and diction; and reading comprehension.
I am a graduate of AB Communication at Lyceum of the Philippines University. I was trained at “Radyo Natin” 106.3 FM as a radio announcer and had worked as a student trainee at News and Public Affairs in GMA Network Inc., a national TV network.
Though I loved broadcasting and journalism, teaching has become closer to my heart. So, I worked as a college teacher at STI Academic Center where I handled an average of 250 students per semester. After almost 2 years at school, I continued working as an ESL teacher part-time. I currently work as an online teacher and a private tutor to local and foreigner students such as Indians, Filipinos, and Chinese. I teach all subjects from pre-school to high school. I’ve been handling mainly Asians but interested to extend helping some other nationalities.
My experience in teaching students from pre-school to college has helped me become more flexible and creative in mentoring. Being a teacher is challenging but also rewarding. I believe that teaching is a special privilege that paves the way to inspire students and touch lives. Seeing the progress of my students gives me a different sense of fulfilment and drives me even more to become a better teacher.
